How selection works
Six stages, from application to offer. The fee unlocks stage one — every stage after that is decided on merit.
Application & fee
Complete the online application and pay the $200 application fee to Seelicon's official account. This covers assessment administration for the edition.
Aptitude & screening
A timed logic and problem-solving screen, narrowing applicants down to a shortlist of 200. This stage is track-agnostic — it tests how you think, not what you've memorised.
Technical assessment
A track-specific take-home or online assessment matched to the track you applied for (engineering, data, design, and so on).
Live practical interview
A short live session with a Seelicon engineer or lead — pairing, a walkthrough of your assessment, or a live problem, depending on track.
Behavioural & culture-fit interview
A conversation about how you work, communicate and collaborate — the traits that determine whether a placement with a global team actually works.
Final selection & offer
From the 200 shortlisted, 50 are offered a seat for the edition, with the cohort start date and onboarding details.
Application fee
Applying costs $200, paid directly to Seelicon's official bank account, once, per edition. It covers assessment administration for everyone who applies — it does not guarantee a seat. Only 50 applicants are selected each edition, from across every country in Africa.
